Yale Business Park

Whitfield and Brown constructed a standalone office unit on a design and build basis to complete development within an established technology park. The two storey building measured forty metres by fifteen metres and was formed using a steel frame clad in brickwork. Internally the scheme provided flexible open plan accommodation across both floors supported by a reception space and ancillary areas. Access was managed through the existing office park with deliveries scheduled between eight in the morning and four in the afternoon to avoid peak activity. Working closely with the design team Whitfield and Brown enhanced the building’s sustainable features by improving thermal efficiency with high performance insulation installing energy efficient lighting that followed CIBSE guidance sourcing materials locally and promoting a car share register to reduce CO2 emissions
