Whitfield and Brown delivered the refurbishment and extension of the Old Dairy Building at Woodpark Farm to create improved teaching facilities that support modern learning. The project involved replacing the existing roof and constructing a lean to extension that provided new teaching rooms washing facilities and additional parking while also enhancing thermal performance structure appearance and disabled access. Due to restricted ceiling heights on the first floor the roof was removed walls were raised and a new roof was installed to achieve the required internal height. Works were temporarily paused to allow nesting swallows to hatch and leave safely which reflected the teams commitment to environmental responsibility. The project demonstrates Whitfield and Browns ability to balance sensitive refurbishment with the creation of functional education spaces.
