Reaseheath College

Whitfield and Brown delivered a specialist design and build project at Reaseheath College to create a modern animal management facility that supports education welfare and conservation. The scheme involved demolishing eight outdated buildings and constructing a new single storey steel frame development that provides dedicated space for animal care teaching administration and essential support functions. The BREEAM rated building accommodates mammals insects aquatics reptiles and amphibians within purpose designed environments that promote welfare and support practical learning. Facilities include specialist enclosures for more than one thousand animals across around two hundred species including a four metre by two metre shark tank and an internal meerkat enclosure. With a construction value just under two million pounds the project demonstrates Whitfield and Browns expertise in delivering complex welfare focused education environments within live campus settings
