Whitfield and Brown delivered a transformative project at Pickerings Pasture that created a modern visitor centre and café designed to enhance the experience for local residents and visitors. Working in partnership with Halton Borough Council the aim was to revitalise the nature reserve and provide a welcoming hub for the community. The project involved demolishing the old ranger cabin and constructing a contemporary facility finished with black cladding large windows and solar panels to support sustainability. The new centre offers an open and inviting environment with improved amenities and now acts as a focal point for community gatherings and events led by The Friends of Pickerings Pasture. Designed to complement the natural beauty of the reserve and its views of the River Mersey the development encourages relaxation social interaction and educational activity while reflecting Whitfield and Browns commitment to creating inclusive community focused spaces.
