Whitfield and Brown completed the refurbishment of the small animal post mortem laboratory at the University of Liverpool’s Leahurst campus creating an improved facility that supports advanced veterinary pathology. The project formed part of the wider work of the School of Veterinary Science and required careful coordination as the surrounding areas remained in use. The refurbishment upgraded the post mortem room and provided new laboratory spaces for histology sample preparation and electron microscopy along with additional office accommodation to consolidate pathology functions on a single site. Mechanical electrical and specialist installations were improved to support sensitive workflows and maintain high standards of biosafety. Delivered within a live scientific environment the scheme demonstrates Whitfield and Browns capability in managing complex refurbishments that enhance research accuracy operational efficiency and long term resilience.
