Following new homes funding from the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership’s Growing Places Fund the construction of twelve homes at Kingfisher Square in Warrington commenced as an innovative development aimed at first time buyers and key workers. The three storey scheme provided four one bedroom homes at ground level with eight two bedroom homes arranged across the upper floors. The properties were constructed using piling brick and block work with areas of render and eternit cladding to create a modern appearance. Several homes featured Juliet balconies and all units were accessed from a central glazed entrance that served the communal staircase. External works included new highways service connections car parking landscaped areas and the installation of bat and bird boxes to encourage local wildlife.
