The three storey development provides 17 one and two bedroom apartments, delivering approximately 12,000 square feet of modern living space. Internally, the building was comprehensively remodelled to create a welcoming entrance foyer, porter’s room, reception desk and secure mail facilities, supported by modern apartment interiors designed to meet current living standards.

Refurbishment and design transformation

Significant external works were undertaken to enhance the appearance and performance of the building. This included rendering over existing brickwork, replacement windows and entrance doors, upgraded lighting and new signage, creating a cohesive and contemporary external identity for the development.

Internally, the works included full refurbishment and redecoration throughout, alongside the installation of new mechanical and electrical services to support long term residential use.

Electra House was delivered through close collaboration between Whitfield & Brown, Trafford Housing Trust and Laurus Homes, reflecting Whitfield & Brown’s experience in negotiating and delivering residential refurbishment schemes in partnership with social housing providers and private delivery partners.
