Whitfield and Brown delivered their fifth project for Trafford Housing Trust and Laurus Homes at Baker Street in Timperley reinforcing a valued long term client relationship. The mixed use scheme was completed on a design and build basis and provided essential community amenities alongside new residential accommodation in a prominent high street location. The development comprised two buildings. The first contained a GP surgery a pharmacy a library general offices and four apartments facing Stockport Road. The second delivered twenty five one and two bedroom apartments which were later increased to twenty nine through value engineering that improved viability and removed the need for a third block. Despite programme pressures during the Covid nineteen pandemic the scheme was delivered successfully with all apartments sold off plan. External works provided public parking for the medical centre and library along with a dedicated two storey residential car park to support long term community use.
